1GB PC Memory
When the RAM space is more in a PC, the computer can handle more applications and programs and is very useful for those who do multi tasking and playing PC games. When the RAM is insufficient, the PC swaps to the hard disk which is the reason for a lot of problems to come later on.
This is because the data accessed in the hard disk is thousand times slower than RAM and so, the PC cannot access data as fast as it can and hence, the performance of the computer slows down. Generally, 1GB of RAM will suffice for every day and low end use of the PC.
But, it is not possible to add on more RAM to the PC since older versions of computers will not be able to handle more than 1 GB of RAM. This is due to the fact that older system motherboards and basic input output systems cannot accommodate more than 1 GB of RAM. So, to upgrade the memory of the PC, the right type of memory module ahs to be chosen which is compatible with the PC.
For instance, if the PC has three memory module slots and one of them has 1 GB memory module, then, it would be better to buy two 512 MB modules rather than 1 GB module for up gradation from one GB to two GB.
Upgrading the memory from 1 GB would help to relieve a lot of work for the system from swapping the data from the hard disk and as a result, add more efficiency to the PC.
